TOURING WITH THE SOBs
Touring is a special part of the SOB experience — four times a year, the SOBs pack up our bags and travel across the country and the world, at no cost to group members. From the shores of Costa Rica to the cafés of Vienna, we have sung and explored all over the world. Between our four yearly tours, SOBs spend a substantial portion of their year traveling and growing alongside 20 of their best friends. As far as we’re concerned, this is what college is for: exploring both yourself, traveling the world, and yelling song lyrics in the car on a highway going to who knows where. If that’s the goal, we can think of no better place to spend college than the Society of Orpheus and Bacchus.
LAST YEAR’S TOURS (2023-2024)
This past year, the Society of Orpheus and Bacchus travelled all over the country and the world, with plenty of fun (and even a little bit of singing) along the way. We started off the year with a week-long trip exploring five states throughout New England, from Vermont to Boston. Winter Break saw the group flee away from the cold instead of directly into it, turning into a two-week quest beginning in San Francisco and working all the way down to L.A. through Apurva, Eunice, and Caleb’s hometowns.
The SOBs went even bigger with our spring break, and found our way to South Korea. Throughout two weeks, we found ourselves in Seoul, Gwangju, back in Seoul, Paju, the DMZ between North and South Korea, back in Seoul again, and Jeju Island before heading back to Seoul one last time.
Lastly, after an exhausting finals season, we spent a week relaxing while visiting Gabby’s hometown in New London, Connecticut, and Adam Bear’s home state of Long Island. A lovely, calm end to an incredible S.O.Year.
