Welcome!
You've reached the home of Yale's Society of Orpheus and Bacchus, the second-longest-running a cappella group in the nation ... or, as we prefer to put it, 20-odd friends who love to sing and have fun together. Whether serenading the sunset on the shores of Costa Rica, wandering the streets of Prague by night, hard at work in the recording studio, or belting out a solo at the Pushkin Museum in Moscow, the SOBs are there with tight-knit harmonies, a unique sense of humor, and over 85 years of experience in the realms of music and revelry. Join us as we dive into future adventures during this exciting 2024-2025 year, and May The Gods Be With You!
Our Music
As it turns out, this (very) fun-loving group of friends can also sing! The SOBs have a songbook spanning across periods, genres, artists, and styles. Folk, pop, gospel, rock, jazz — you name it, we’ve sung it at some point in our 85+ year history. Yes, even the Norwegian National Anthem (ask us about that one later). All of our music is arranged by members or alumni of the group. That means that exciting new compositions enter our repertoire all the time, taking their place alongside time-tested SOB classics. We love sharing our music with the world, both at concerts and on our albums. Stream our latest, greatest, and most up-to-datest, Odd Jobs, wherever you get your music.
